Display Energy Certificate & Energy Performance Certificate

Energy Certificates, be they Display Energy Certificates (DEC) or Energy Performance Certificates (EPC) are required by a large proportion of public and non-domestic buildings in the UK.

DEC

All public buildings with a combined square footage > 250m² must have a DEC and advisory report, notifying someone how energy efficient a public building is.

The rating A – G on the certificate indicates the energy performance of the building and the associated report demonstrates how building performance can be improved.

Failure to display a DEC and a valid advisory report can result in fines being issued.

EPC

Energy Performance Certificates are a legal requirement under the Energy Performance of Buildings Regulations for any building constructed, sold or let after 2008 in the UK.

Similarly to DECs a building is awarded an energy rating A – G based on the energy performancepotential of the property (fabrics) and its services (heating, ventilation, lighting).

UKGP provide approved DEC and Commercial EPC Energy Assessors with a suitable level of building inspection qualification, ensuring that you meet requirements.
